Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman considers that the preliminary adoption of the amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine touching justice is the first step towards real judicial reform in Ukraine.
"This is an absolutely important decision," Groysman said after the adoption of the draft law No. 3524 "On amendments to Constitution of Ukraine" (as to justice).
The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada reminded that the constitutional amendments had been elaborated by the Constitutional Commission, received positive conclusions of the European Commission for Democracy through Law (Venice Commission), and were submitted by the President of Ukraine for consideration of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
"Ukraine, the society, the people need fair, transparent and just judicial system," Groysman noted.
